What men think about Make Up

What men think about Make Up is really none of their business. Let’s face it, half the time women put make up to impress their peers or compete with that one girl who said her weave was better. Or something about “new me” after a break up. Well whatever the reasons are for make up, despite being none of our business, we men have thoughts on the subject.

The Positive

Make up is pretty. It accentuates certain features, the eyes pop, the contours create that dramatic feel. And the lashes! We don’t get those but they’re cute. Depending on the length.

Make Up gives ladies this alter ego that comes with confidence, fierceness and a command of attention. It’s all beautiful. So yes, there are men who love make up. ( Some love it for the wrong reasons, which you can assume and be blamed for for being a terrible person on your own).

The Negative

Make up is pretty. It accentuates certain features, the eyes pop, the contours create that dramatic feel. That’s the problem. And when it’s gone, we get a different person. It starts feeling like being catfished.

Before you come at me, hear me out. We humans instinctively want to get what we see, that’s why we get angry when we order something online and receive something else. Same concept. Make Up may be an illusion, a smoke show and no one wants to be conned.

But but Q, beauty is skin deep. So why camouflage the skin then?

My thoughts

Each men to his own philosophy. Make Up is amazing, it adds character. Make Up is like a beard to some extent, have you seen how much of a difference that thing brings. ( ** note: it’s natural though, the beard that is).

End of the day, it’s all about preferences. If you as a man hate make up, don’t put it. You thought I was going to say something else huh? What she puts on her face is not really your choice or decision. Best you can do is help with the overall aesthetic, make sure it sits just right.
